I had a dream that I went to the mall with my mom and went into one of my favorite stores (Hot Topic). All of a sudden I was looking at XPLR merchandise and told her that I love stuff like this and I wish I could get it. I turned around to talk with her but no one was around me, so I was walking around to find her. I found her but she was talking to someone and said "You have got to meet my daughter! She's amazing and is super into the paranormal." She looked over his shoulder and saw me and waved me over. It was none other than Sam Golbach and Colby Brock from Sam and Colby (That's their YouTube Handle). I flushed red and said hi and pretended that I have never seen their channel on youtube before even though I have. Next thing you know we hung out at the store for hours and then my mom showed up with an XPLR hoodie and said "since I know it's something you've been eyeing". and that exposed me that I was a fan and I went red again, a little embarrassed. They didn't seem to mind it, though and invited me to do an investigation sometime in the future. then I woke up from the dream. It has been reoccurring lately and I wonder why.
Dreams about shopping, especially in a place like a mall or a favorite store, often reflect your desires, interests, and personal identity. In your dream, being in Hot Topic and expressing interest in XPLR merchandise suggests a longing for self-expression and exploration, particularly in areas you're passionate about, such as the paranormal and pop culture.
Seeing Sam Golbach and Colby Brock, the YouTubers you admire, represents aspects of yourself that you look up to or aspire to embody. Their presence could symbolize your desires for recognition, validation, and connection with those you admire in your field of interest.
Your mother's role in the dream indicates feelings of support and protection in exploring your passions. When she introduces you and brings the hoodie as a gift, it signifies a sense of approval and encouragement regarding your interests, even if it makes you feel a bit vulnerable or exposed. The embarrassment you feel highlights a common human experience—wanting to fit in and be accepted for who you are, while also fearing judgment.
The fact that this dream is recurring suggests it's processing something significant in your life related to identity, passion, and perhaps social acceptance. It might indicate a desire to take action in your waking life, whether it's pursuing interests in the paranormal, creating content, or connecting more deeply with the communities that share these passions.
Consider reflecting on what these symbols mean to you personally—how do your interests connect to your self-identity? Are there opportunities in your waking life to engage more with these passion areas or express them among your peers? Your dream may be encouraging you to embrace those parts of yourself more openly.
